This large weekend house is located within an historic district, so the character and scale of the house had to accommodate its smaller historic neighbors. The house was designed to appear to float above the vegetation and make the most of dramatic views across the bay, while its gray shingles and white trim anchor it to the architectural context of the Cape. The house is organized with the principal living spaces on the second floor, to take advantage of the views, with guest quarters on the floor below.
