The new off-site resource center for the Autry Museum of the American West called for extensive collections care and storage accommodations for the 400,000-piece Autry collection. This project was for Los Angeles-based architects Chu + Gooding, and involved the assessment of the collections, planning of storage spaces in a 45,000-square-foot storage area, designing the equipment, and overseeing its installation in the renovated facility. Some of the collections storage is highly visible to the public portions of the resource center.
